Recently we went out to celebrate a friend's upcoming birthday. As we celebrate another year of life, we may start to think about how time passes by and the changes that life brings. Some of these changes we hold onto. Other changes come and go, helping us to grow. Even though life is full of change, we have God and Jesus as constants in our lives!
We are reminded that God and His Son, Jesus Christ, do not change. No matter how many minutes, hours, days, or years come and go, God is always the same. He has always been and always will be. Whenever we need a place to turn for comfort, love, strength, or guidance, we know that God will be there. God's message also doesn't change. He loves us. He forgives us. He wants us to be part of His family. Even though our time on earth brings many changes, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever...Always!
God is always the same - dependable, loving, and forgiving!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for the consistency that You provide and the gift of Your Son. Help me to always turn to and depend on You. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
