Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Whether we are following a path or blazing our own trail, we need to give thought to our motivations and the outcomes of our journey. As we travel through our lives, we need to be sure we have God's directions!
When we are thinking about our path, we need to listen for God's direction. We know that He will not allow our foot to slip, but we need to be sure we are walking in His way. We can do this by considering the lessons and examples that God provides and then applying these to our lives. We can also pray and listen for God's response. Once we know His way, we need to be steadfast and ready to move forward, even if it means blazing our own trail. As we follow the path or leave a trail, we need to be sure the trail leads to God!
Know God, be steadfast in His ways, and leave a trail that inspires others and leads to God!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for Your direction in my life. Help me to be steadfast in Your ways and to leave a trail that leads to You. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
