Expectations at my middle school include being productive, being responsible, and being respectful. Students are reminded that they have choices in school and in life. It is our hope that they grow to understand that they have both rights and responsibilities in learning that are impacted by the choices they make.
As children of God, we are also given rights, responsibilities, and choices. We have the freedom and the right to do anything, but we should consider the consequences of our choices. Not every choice is beneficial or constructive. Our choices also impact more than just ourselves. As we look at our rights and evaluate our responsibilities, we need to be sure the choices we make align with God's will for our lives and reflect His love.
You have rights and responsibilities. Make choices that follow God's will and are beneficial and constructive for yourself and others.

Dear God-
Thank You for giving me rights and for Your instructions and the example of the life of Your Son. Help me to show Your love and will in all of my choices. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
