Praising Like the Shepherds!

5/31/2015

"The shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them." -Luke 2:20 (NASB)
When we have good and exciting news, we often can't wait to share it!  With the technology we have at hand, we are able to share our good news almost instantly.  Whether through pictures or words, we can let others know of the life changing events we experience.

While the scripture from Luke 2:20 is often read around Christmas time, the example of the shepherds is one that we should follow year-round.  The shepherds experienced a life changing event and left praising and glorifying God.  God works in our lives, too.  When we experience God's power, glory, and mercy, we should respond like the shepherds.  As we head back to our "normal" lives, we should remember God's work by glorifying and praising Him!

When you experience God, be sure to glorify and praise Him!

Prayer:
Dear God-
All praise and glory to You!  Thank You for working in my life.  Please continue to guide me and protect me through all I do.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

No Slackers!

"We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized.  We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised." -Hebrews 6:11-12 (NIV)
It's that time of year at school: the weather is warm and the end is near!  The end of the school year is just weeks away and some students begin to get lazy, thinking there isn't anything left to learn or work to be done.  As their teacher, I must keep their attention and keep them focused on all that is left to accomplish.

Just like students in the classroom near the end of the school year, we may have points in our spiritual journey when we feel lazy or spiritually sluggish.  When we reach these points in our journey, we need to look to those that came before us.  We can read the Bible to learn how others have persevered, held onto the Hope that God gives us through faith in Jesus, and prayerfully talk to God about the plans He has for each of us.  In the end we can imitate the faithful examples of others and proceed with faith and patience toward the promises of God!

Don't be a spiritual slacker!  Hold onto the promises of God and keep moving and growing in faith!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for giving me hope through the sacrifice of Your Son.  Help me to hold onto my faith in You and to continue to patiently move toward Your promises as those before me have done.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Working Faith

"You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?  Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?  You see that his faith and his actions were working together and his faith was made complete by what he did." -James 2:20-22 (NIV)
While recently working in the yard, I moved several patio stones and unknowingly disturbed an ant colony living under them.  As I observed the members of the ant community, I could see each one carrying out its job, doing what needed to be done to secure their home.  Similar to the ants, we live in and are part of communities that depend on our actions.

We may identify with different communities.  That community may be determined by our physical location or by our beliefs.  As part of a community, we are to live a faithful life as God has called us, but our faith shouldn't be a secret!  Our faith should be reflected in all that we do within our communities.   Our faith and our actions should be working together for the glory of God and to spread His love to others.  Our faith should be a working faith!

Actions and faith are not separate.  Bring your faith and actions together to create a working faith!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for the opportunities You provide for me.  Help me to show my faith throughout my actions and work in my community.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Your Delight?

"Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart." -Psalms 37:4 (NASB)
In our lives, we often search for delight and happiness.  When searching, we may look for earthly sources of delight and happiness.  While we might find happiness and delight in these earthly pleasures, but that delight will not last.

There is only one source of lasting delight: the Lord!  We can stop searching and turn to God.  Through faith and belief in Jesus' redeeming sacrifice, we can have a personal relationship with God.  In this relationship we can find everlasting delight and happiness.  Delight and happiness that will fill our hearts and never fade!

Stop searching for happiness and find delight in the Lord!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for loving me and allowing me to have a relationship with You.  Help me to find delight and happiness in Your plans for me, so my heart is filled with an everlasting joy!  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

No One Else

"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." -Acts 4:12 (NASB)
Each year I have students that are determined to find the easy way to do an assignment or project.  They search for a way to do as little work as possible with the best grade possible, often spending more time and energy looking for a shortcut than it would take to complete the assignment.  We sometimes follow the same course of action in our lives.  We tend to look for the easiest way to happiness, fulfillment, and a better life even when the answer is right in front of us!

When we feel the need to search for the shortcut to happiness in life, we need to stop and remember the words from Acts 4:12.  There is only one person that can allow us to be redeemed, than can allow us to have a personal relationship with God, and that can allow us to be fulfilled here on earth and for eternity!  We can search high and low.  We can invest large amounts of time, energy, and money, but in the end there is only one way, one person, and He is waiting for us!  Belief in the one true, risen Savior, Jesus Christ, is all we need to be fulfilled forever!

Don't look for a shortcut, turn to Jesus for salvation and fulfillment!

Prayer:

Dear God-
Thank You for Your perfect plan of salvation.  Help me to remember that Jesus is waiting for me, ready to help me build a relationship with You that will offer me fulfillment now and forever.  Through Jesus, the Savior, I pray, amen.

In Line with God's Call

"You shall follow the Lord your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him." -Deuteronomy 13:4 (NASB)
In our lives we hear many voices calling out to us.  There are many people that want us to side with them, to take up a cause, to donate time and money.  Some of these causes are worthy, but sometimes we recognize that, even if it sounds good, it is not a cause worthy of our time and support.

Throughout the Bible, there are times when God's people hear calls that are not worthy or in line with God's commands.  While these causes may have had a certain appeal to the people listening, Deuteronomy (13:4) gives us the reminder of how we should respond.  In all of our dealings, we should follow God's plan, God's commandments.  We should listen to what God is telling us and then act in ways that align with His plan, even if we sometimes have to say no to the earthy voices calling out to us.

When you hear the earthly calls, be sure your responses are in line with God's call!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for giving me the Bible and the examples of those that have gone before me so that I can learn more about You and Your will.  Help me to always respond in ways that follow Your commands and Your will.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Changing Course

"As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is tested; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.  For who is God, besides the Lord?  And who is a rock, besides our God?  God is my strong fortress; And He sets the blameless in His way." -II Samuel 22:31-33 (NASB)
At a service I was attending, the speaker said, "The waters of life tend to erode a path that we then just follow."  It can certainly seem that way!  The expectations, routines, and schedules of our lives can push us along as we rush from place to place.  As we are being swept along, we may need to look for a rock to help us slow down and change course!

While life may seem to have plans for our path, the author of II Samuel reminds us that God's way is the blameless and trustworthy way.  As life is sweeping us along, we need to look for the one rock that we can grab onto in order to change the course of our lives.  God is the rock on which we can depend and on which we can anchor ourselves.  After we grab hold of God and His promises, we must listen and follow His path for our lives.  It will take work as there are times when we must go against the currents of life's eroded path, but we will see the rewards of listening and following God's guiding hand!

When life starts sweeping you away, change course by grabbing onto God the Rock!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for being the rock in the river of life.  Help me to always hold onto You and to follow Your will for my life.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Love instead of Stumbling

"Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this - not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother's way." -Romans 14:13 (NASB)
There are many things in life that can cause us to stumble, both physically and spiritually, yet we often tend to add stumbling blocks in each other's paths.  Sometimes we may intentionally try to trip someone up out of anger or frustration.  Other times it may happen accidentally.  Either way, we need to shift our focus away from judging and tripping each other up.

As Christians, we are called to love those around us because God and Jesus are love.  We don't always have to agree.  We don't always have to like or approve of each other's behavior.  Only God can judge, so we shouldn't try to take the task of judging others on ourselves.  Instead of putting stumbling blocks in front of others, we should love each other.  In the end it is love and compassion that will allow others to see God's true nature and Jesus' saving grace!

Show love instead of placing stumbling blocks!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for loving me so that I can love others.  Help me to refrain from judging others and instead show love to everyone.  Please allow others to see Your love, grace, and mercy through me.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself." -Philippians 3:20-21 (NASB)
I like to browse the real estate listings from time to time.  It is interesting to see the houses available, to compare values, and to contemplate where I may end up next.  While I enjoy my home now, I know that it will not be my home forever!

As Christians, we know that our earthly homes are not our forever homes.  While we live here now, but we are called to a higher purpose.  Our forever homes will be with God in Heaven.  We can think about where we will eventually call home, but we can work for God to expand His Kingdom on earth here and now.  Once the time comes for us to leave this home, we will be magnificently transformed through the power of Jesus and we will know we have reached our forever home with Him!

Remember that earth isn't your forever home.  Prepare for your new home by serving God and allowing yourself to be transformed by the power of Jesus!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for loving me and allowing me to find my forever home in Heaven with You.  Help me to prepare myself by following Your Word and spreading Your Kingdom on earth.  Through Jesus, my Savior, I pray, amen.

Pulled Into Peace

"For we all stumble in many ways.  If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well." -James 3:2 (NASB)
I recently read a quote in which Kimberly Jones states, "Don't let people pull you into their storm.  Pull them into your peace."  Whether we know it from reading the Bible or from our daily experiences, we are aware that none of us are perfect.  There are times we stumble and sin, times when each of us are caught up in a storm.  When we stumble and the storms begin to rage, we do have a perfect peace that we can rely on and that we can pull others toward!

As Christians, we can know the peace of our risen and everlasting Savior.  We can know the peace that comes from resting in the arms of the all-powerful God.  When the storms move into our lives, we can depend on these sources of strength, redemption, and peace.  We can also help others stay connected to the peace that we can find in God and Jesus.  When the storms swirl around us, we can get swept away or we can hold tight to the peace we are given and pull others toward us!

Don't get swept away in storms, but help pull others toward your peace!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for pulling me out of the storms and for providing peace.  Help me to hold tight to Your promises so that I can help others move into Your peace.  Through Jesus, my Savior, I pray, amen.

"[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight." -Philippians 2:13 (AMP)
I have been fortunate to experience highlights in my life that have left me eternally grateful.  There are other times that leave me questioning the purpose of the events that surround me.  No matter how high or how low our experiences may seem to be, we are always where we are for a purpose - God's purpose!

God places us and guides us.  He knows where we need to be for His purpose.  Sometimes we need to be in situations that allow us to grow and develop.  Other times we are in situations that allow us to proclaim God's glory and power.  We need to trust in God and allow Him to work in us and through us.  God can give us strength.  He can energize us.  He can use us where we're at to further His Kingdom!

You are here for God's purpose.  Allow Him to work in you and through you!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for being active in my life.  Please energize and strengthen me with Your power so that I can follow Your purpose and spread Your Kingdom.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Trust Walk

"Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul." -Psalms 143:8 (NASB)
Sometimes we are placed in a situation that causes us to question or prompts us to change.  Being faced with such a situation can cause discomfort, but we need to be navigate our way through each situation.  During these times, we can remember that we are not alone.

The situations we face may not b what we expected or preferred, but that doesn't mean that God isn't with us.  God is always with us, no matter our journey or the situations we face.  We need to trust in Him, listen to His guidance, and follow the path that He provides for us.  When we are listening we can experience God's love and we can hear His teachings that will help us through everything we face!  We just have to trust in Him and walk in His ways.

Trust in God and walk in the path He provides for you!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for Your lovingkindness and for teaching me how to walk in Your way.  Help me through whatever I am facing and help me to be kind and gracious to those I meet along the way.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Faith to Rewards

5/19/2015

"And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." -Hebrews 11:6 (NASB)
Many schools use a system called positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) that seeks to reward positive behaviors and provide supports to lessen undesirable behaviors.  In order for a system of rewards and supports to work, both staff and students must "buy-in" to the goals and expectations meant to establish a positive learning community.  In our spiritual journey, God has a system of rewards and supports in place for each of us.  For the system to work, we must know God and have faith in Him and His love for us.

To buy-in we need to have faith in God.  We cannot know God or please Him if we do not believe in Him.  Our belief and faith in God forms the foundation of our relationship with God.  When we believe in God and in Jesus' sacrifice that cleanses our sin, we are part of God's family.  As we seek to know more about Him, He will reward us.  From pleasing God to the rewards bestowed upon us, it begins when we buy-in by taking the step of faith by believing in the all-powerful God!

Have faith in God, seek Him, please Him, and accept His rewards!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for rewarding the faith that I have in You.  Help my faith in You to continue to grow.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

When the Going gets Tough

"Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.  And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." -James 1:2-4 (NASB)
Working around the house reminds me that sometimes when we are completing projects, things don't always go as planned.  We can be forced to figure things out, stick with it, and work until the project gets completed.  In the end, we can learn from the complications we experience and be better prepared for other projects in the future.  Our journey through life and our spiritual growth are the same way.

We can encounter situations or people that produce trials in our lives.  God knows that we will encounter these trials, but He also knows that we need challenges and trials in order to grow.  When we have faith in God and call on Him, He will provide for us and help us through our trials.  In the end, when we hold onto our faith, we will come closer to God for having endured the earthly trials and we will have taken a step toward completeness and perfection through God's grace and mercy!

When the going gets tough, call on God and endure the trials with His support!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for loving me and being with me even when I am facing challenges and trials.  Help me to remember to call on You and keep my faith in You as I endure the earthly struggles that will bring me closer to Your glory.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Holy Spirit Guide

"Do not quench the Spirit; do not despise prophetic utterances.  But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil." -I Thessalonians 5:19-22 (NASB)
You may have heard the expression, "Don't rain on their parade!"  Sometimes we find it easy to dismiss ideas that we don't agree with or understand.  We may not believe things can happen, so we ignore or belittle the ideas.  While we cannot believe everything we see or hear, we should be ready to put it to God's test!

I Thessalonians 5:19-22 reminds us that we should not rain on the Spirit's parade.  When the Spirit guides us, we should listen to the will of God delivered to us through the Spirit.  We should look to see what is good and then hold onto the good and let go of the evil.  God has sent the Holy Spirit to guide us, but it is up to us to listen to His wisdom and guidance!

Don't rain on the parade, listen to the Holy Spirit and let the Spirit be your guide in God's plan!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to guide me.  Help me to know when the Spirit is guiding me and help me to listen to its guidance so I can follow Your will.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Arise and Shine!

"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you." -Isaiah 60:1 (NASB)
Some mornings it can be hard to get out of bed.  Whether it's been a long, sleepless night or a dreary morning, crawling back under the covers can seem like the easier choice.  In the end we usually have to roll out of bed and start the day.  As we start our day, we should remember to shine!

Even when the day seems dreary, we have reason to shine.  The glory of the Lord is with us.  Jesus has come to live with us and among us.  Once we accept Him in our lives, Jesus gives us the reason to get up and go out into the world.  We have a source of light that we can share with those around us!

Arise, shine, and show the light of the Lord to the world!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for giving me reason to rise and shine!  Help me to show Your love and light to all those around me.  Through Jesus, the source of light, I pray, amen.

The Good Life

"For, 'The one who desires life, to love and see good days, must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.  He must turn away from evil and do good; He must seek peace and pursue it.'" -I Peter 3:10-11 (NASB)
It seems that many people are seeking the secret so living the "good life".  Sometimes we can get caught up in trying to find the things or people that promise an easy path to bettering our lives.  Some people are even willing to pay large amounts of money or travel great distances to discover some unknown secret.

We don't have to travel or search or pay for the secrets of living a good life.  The Bible gives us guidance for finding what we are searching for in our lives.  The Bible tells us of God's never ending love.  The Bible tells us of Jesus' sacrifice so we can be redeemed.  The Bible also gives us pointers that we can apply in our lives, like the advice in I Peter (3:10-11).  To live a good live we need to love and do good, avoiding evil.  While it may sound like simple, common sense advice, it can be harder to put into practice.  Fortunately, God is patient and willing to help us along our journey!

Avoid evil, seek love, do good, and allow God to show you the good life!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for loving me and being patient with me.  Help me to avoid speaking evil.  Help me to seek love and doing good so that I can live the good life in You.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Set Free

"It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery." -Galatians 5:1 (NASB)
Each year the 8th grade students at my school visit Boston, Massachusetts.  As students tour the city, they learn about the events leading up to the American Revolution and the colonists' quest for freedom.  When we speak about freedom, we often remember that freedom comes with a cost.

Freedom from our sins comes with a cost, too, but it is a cost that we do not have to pay.  Jesus has already paid the price for our freedom.  Jesus' sacrifice has allowed us to be free.  Once we accept the gift of freedom, we can stand firmly with Jesus and the righteousness that we can have through Him!

Be free by accepting the sacrifice of Jesus that has paid for your freedom!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for the sacrifice of Your Son that allows me to be free.  Help me to live so that others will know of the freedom that can be found in You.  Through Your Son, my Savior, I pray, amen.

"Are not five sparrows sold for two cents?  Yet not one of them is forgotten before God.  Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows." -Luke 12:6-7(NASB)
We can consider value and worth in many ways.  We can value our worth based on our own feelings or what we feel because of others.  When we consider our worth, we should think of how God values us.

In God's view, we are each valuable to Him.  He wants us to be part of His family.  He loves and values us so much that He sent His Son to die for our sins so we can be part of His eternal family.  We can remember the value that we have in God and then share with others the value that they have in God, too.

You are valuable to God!  Share God's value with others!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for loving me and valuing me.  Help me to remember how much I mean to You and show me how to help others see their value in You.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

"Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments." -Deuteronomy 7:9 (NASB)
When living with a toddler or teenager or teaching middle schoolers, it is important to be ready for questions.  Sometimes we behave like a toddler or a teenager - questioning what we see, hear, and are told.  While it is okay to question, we also need to remember the identity of our God.

God is THE God.  He is faithful.  He is all-powerful and all-knowing.  He is loving and wanting what is best for each of us in our lives.  God will always love us, even when we question and stray from His will for our lives.  We just need to remember His promises to us so that we can com back to Him!

Know God so that you can come back to His promises!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for always honoring Your promises.  Help me to follow Your will and come back to Your promises when I go astray.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." -Psalms 51:10 (NASB)
Life's ups and downs, twists and turns can sometimes push us off track.  Whether it's an exercise routine, diet, or our spiritual walk, we can get interrupted.  When life tries to get us off track, we need to take time to regroup and get ourselves back on track.

When we start to spiritually drift or become unfocused, we can take the time to pray the prayer from Psalm 51:10.  We can ask God to help us refocus by cleaning our hearts and renewing a Godly spirit within us.  After we are back on track, we can continue to walk in the path that God has placed before us.  With God, we can live our lives with His purpose!

When you start to drift, ask God to help you get back on track!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for caring for me and for Your willingness to help me get back on track.  Help me to follow Your path.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Choices and Believing

"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life." -John 6:47 (NASB)
While volunteering at the local nature center, I ran into one of my former students.  As we talked, he commented that he remembered the lessons his middle school teachers taught him about making good choices.  Reading John 6:47, we can think about one of the most important choices we can make: to believe!

God is real and present in our lives, but we have to make the choice to believe in Him and His works.  We can learn about making good choices through reading His Word, attending church and Bible studies, and by fellowship with other believers, but it is up to us to make the choice for ourselves.  We can choose to believe and then praise God for His presence in our lives!

Make the choice to believe and see what God can do in your life!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for sending Jesus to die for my sins.  Help my belief in You to help others see Your majesty.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Get Found!

"For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." -Luke 19:10 (NASB)
Have you ever felt lost?  We can feel lost when we physically can't find our way, but we can also feel emotionally and spiritually lost.  In either case, if we continue to wander, we can get even more lost.  However, we can't give up hope.  We can be found!

We have all sinned and been lost at some point in our lives.  That's why God sent Jesus to save us!  God and Jesus are calling to us, hoping that we respond by turning to Him so we can be found instead of wandering.  Once we are found and saved through Jesus' sacrifice for our sins, we should rejoice!  God is filled with power, grace, and mercy.  God has a plan for our redeemed lives.  Praise be to Him!

If you feel lost, turn to God and get found!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for wanting to find me and for saving me.  Help me to continue to walk in Your path.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.  So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own." -Matthew 6:33-34 (NASB)
I have recently been spending more time than usual at the nature center where I volunteer.  One of the buildings has been closed for several years as renovations have been completed and a small group of volunteers has worked to build new exhibits that will attract visitors and educate people about the environment around us.  As the grand re-opening date gets closer and closer, it is easy to become overwhelmed with all that we have left to get ready for the day.  Our lives can sometimes feel the same way.  Deadlines, obligations, and other such things always seem to be looming over us.

Jesus reminds us that we will always have things to do, but we shouldn't get discouraged.  As we live life, we should focus on God's kingdom and God's plan for our lives.  If we are focused on God and His power in our lives, then we can be assured that each day - today, tomorrow, and all the days the follow - will be taken care of for us.  As we talk to God and listen to His reply, we will know the pathway that we are to follow to let each day take care of itself!

Don't worry.  Seek God's kingdom and allow Him to take care of you today, tomorrow, and forever!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for loving me and for telling me that today, tomorrow, and forever will be taken care of by Your power, grace, and mercy.  Help me to live assured that each day will take care of itself because of You.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

"Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him." -Colossians 3:9-10 (NASB)
When watching TV or listening to the radio, there are lots of advertisements for ways to better yourself or reinvent yourself.  We can hear commercials about ways to lose weight, look younger, or enjoy life to its fullest.  When looking at how to change for the better, we should look to our faith in Jesus!

Salvation through Jesus Christ allows us to be redeemed and renewed.  Once we are saved, we can put aside our old selves.  We can move away from lies and sinful behavior in our lives and toward living in God's righteous plan for our lives.  Living in God's plan for our lives allows us to change our lives for the better - creating our new selves filled with God-given knowledge, love, and contentment!

Put away your old self and become your new self redeemed through Jesus Christ!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for redeeming me and allowing me to put aside my old self so that I can become a new creation through You.  Help me to life in Your holiness so that others can see Your glory.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.
