Be Beautified!

"For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation." -Psalms 149:4 (NASB)
One of the greatest rewards of teaching is seeing students learn, understand, and grow.  I can take pleasure in knowing that I can play a role in or help a student develop.  The impact I can have on my students is nothing compared to the impact that God can have on our lives!

God takes pleasure in each of us and all of us.  He loves and knows each of us as unique individuals.  He also loves us as a group of believers.  God teaches us and guides us.  He takes pleasure in seeing us grow and change.  As we follow Him, we can change, but the biggest change comes through salvation.  Salvation through Jesus can impact our lives like nothing else can!  We can be made whole and beautified through salvation.

Allow God to beautify you with salvation through Jesus!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for beautifying me with salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ.  Help me to know and follow Your ways so that others can be beautified, too!  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Spirit and Truth

"God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." -John 4:24 (NASB)
In high school, my band director's favorite line was to, "Do it again and don't just go through the motions!"  Sometimes our routines become going through the motions and not giving our all.  In our spiritual lives, we don't want to just "go through the motions."  When we worship, God wants our all, too!

God doesn't want us to simply go through the motions of worship.  He wants us to be fully committed to Him.  We need to worship God deep down in our souls.  We need to seek His spirit and His truth.  We can deepen our love of God and our understanding of Him, making our worship more meaningful and our relationship closer to God!

Learn about God so you can worship Him in spirit and truth!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me.  Help me to always remember your spirit and truth and to worship You accordingly.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Not Perfect

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8 (NASB)
I have seen students that don't want to attempt something because they are afraid they will fail.  They think they can't before they even start.  We could feel the same way about reaching forgiveness and eternal life, but we don't have to!

God doesn't expect us to be perfect or to earn our forgiveness.  He gives it freely to us through His Son.  Jesus came to earth and died for all sin.  Our sins are already covered, we just have to ask forgiveness.  God shows how much He loves us by forgiving us even though we can't earn it.  We are not perfect and that's OK!

No one is perfect, but you can be forgiven!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Please forgive me for all of my sin.  Help me to live a better life by following You.  Through Jesus, my Redeemer, I pray, amen.

Just Run!

"Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand o the throne of God." -Hebrews 12:1-2 (NASB)
A friend recently shared an article about Ida Keeling.  Ida Keeling experienced challenges, loss, and depression in her life.  Ms. Keeling's daughter helped her overcome her depression and challenges by running.  Now, at the age of 100 years old, she continues to run and set records!  We are reminded in Hebrews that we should also be runners!

The Bible is full of examples of faithful people.  We may know and see people of faith around us today, too.  We can follow their examples by leaving sin behind and running God's race!  God has set a path before us.  Jesus provides us with hope and salvation.  We can pray that God helps to us have the endurance we need to overcome challenges and continually run the race for Him, growing and strengthening ourselves spiritually and moving closer to Him!

Strengthen your spiritual self by running the race that God has put in front of you!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for Your wisdom, guidance, and salvation.  Please give me endurance and help me to run the race for You.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Fully Completed!

"For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority." -Colossians 2:9-10 (NASB)
If you were to look at my desk or around my house, you may not realize it, but I don't like unfinished projects.  When something is on my mind or when deadlines are hanging over my head, I want to get things done and done well.  As frustrating as it may be, some things have to wait to be completed.

When we look in the mirror, we see works in progress.  We, in our earthly forms, are not complete.  The only way we can be complete is by recognizing and accepting Jesus as God in human form.  Once we acknowledge Jesus as God, then we can put our faith and trust in His promises and His acts on our behalf.  Accepting Jesus is the only way to complete the projects that are each of us.  We can be made whole and complete through Jesus' sacrifice for us and His rule and authority over sin.  After our time on earth is through, we will truly be complete as we spend eternity with God!

Accept Jesus and take the steps toward completing yourself!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for sending Jesus to be human and to save me from sin.  Please fill me and complete me.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Silence and Confidence

"My soul waits in silence for God only; from Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken." -Psalms 62:1-2 (NASB)
The world can be a noisy and busy place.  There are times when we can get caught up in the hustle and bustle and not take the time to reflect on our lives and to talk to those around us.  When we get too busy, we have a tendency to get shaken easier!

In our lives we need to take time to talk to those around us that support us.  It is also important for us to take time to talk to God.  When we talk to God, we also need to take time to wait in silence and to listen for God's voice.  We may even have to "unplug" for a while!  As we talk to God and wait for God's answer, we can be confident in His presence in our lives, including His gift of salvation and His presence as our Rock!

Have confidence that God is with you as you silently wait to hear His voice!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and guiding me.  As I talk to You, help me to also be silent so that I can hear Your voice and be confident in Your presence.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Actions - Reactions

4/24/2016

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." -Proverbs 15:1 (NIV)
In physics, Isaac Newton's Third Law of Motion is often summarized as for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.  When we deal with feelings and emotions, this is not always true.  Too often anger is not met with its opposite, but instead with more anger.  When facing such a situation, we need to assess and reflect on our behavior...the actions and reactions!

Proverbs reminds us that we can diminish anger with a gentler approach.  When we are faced with situations that may stir up anger, we should try to react with God's love in mind.  A calmer, gentler approach in a chaotic and emotional situation can lead to a better end for everyone involved.  In every situation, we can rely on God to provide us with the wisdom and strength to react in a manner that is best for everyone and for God's glory!

When caught in actions, rely on God and follow His ways in reacting!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for always guiding me.  Help me to hear You and follow Your ways in whatever situations I am facing.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

As a Child...

"Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good." -Psalm 25:6-7 (NIV)
When interacting with and responding to my middle school students I sometimes need to remind myself that my students are still children.  My expectations need to be reasonable and matched to the developmental level of my students.  In our spiritual lives, God knows that we, too, require understanding about our "childish" ways.

Just as the Psalmist asks God to forget his childish ways, we need God to forget about our childish thoughts and behaviors.  As God's children, we can grow and mature in Him.  We may at times be foolish or rebellious, but God loves us.  He knows that we are still growing as His children.  God loves each and every one of us.  He has given us His Son to provide us with a way to erase our childish and foolish behaviors so that we can be fully embraced as one of His children for all of eternity!

Even though you may act as a child, God loves you and provides redemption through His Son!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for redeeming me.  Help me to put my childish ways behind me so that I can grow in Your love.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Are You Alive?

4/22/2016

"In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." -James 2:17 (NIV)
How do you know that you're alive?  We may point to the fact that we are breathing.  We may say because we can feel.  We may also say because we act and react.  We can know that we are physically alive because of all these things, but how do we know that we're spiritually alive?

Our spiritual lives depend on faith.  We must have faith in God's promises to us and in the examples He provides to us in His Word.  We must have faith in prayer and our ability to communicate with God.  Along with our faith, we must also be accompanied by actions.  We need to act on our faith and on the guarantees that God gives us.  God loves us, comforts us, supports us, and wants what is best for us.  We can know we are spiritually alive thorough faith and actions based on His love and grace!

Know that you are spiritually alive through your faith in God and your actions based on His love and grace!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for Your promises and examples of how to be spiritually alive.  Help my spiritual life to shine as an example for You.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Good to be Near

"For, behold, those who are far from You will perish; You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to You.  But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, the I may tell of all Your works." -Psalms 73:27-28 (NASB)
When I was graduating college and looking for a job, I found one several states away from where I grew up.  Time has passed and I have lived several states away for 15 years.  Now, with my daughter growing up, visits with my family usually end in tearful good-byes.  Saying good-bye after spending time together reminds all of us of the good or nearness with those we love!

Fortunately, we can always be near to God!  No matter where we go or what we face, God is with us.  We can experience God's goodness by talking to Him, reading His Word, and drawing nearer to Him.  The only thing that can separate us from God is sin and God provided a plan to save us!  We can find forgiveness, redemption, and refuge in God and His Son, Jesus Christ.  We never have to say good-bye to God.  By being near to Him we can experience and tell others of His faithfulness and miraculous works in our lives!

Allow yourself to draw near to God to experience all of His goodness!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for forgiving my sin.  Help me to always be near to You and allow me to experience Your goodness in my life.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

"But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.  I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me." -Psalms 13:5-6 (NASB)
Several years ago my wife and I decided it was time to replace the roof on our home.  We went to the home show, looked at ads, talked to people we knew, and ended up meeting with different roofers and contractors.  As each representative gave his talk about what needed done and presented prices, it was difficult to figure out why the prices varied by thousands of dollars for what seemed like the same work.  It was difficult to know who to trust!

There are many times in life when it is hard to know who to trust.  All humans have sinned and may not be 100% truthful 100% of the time.  Even though we have to decide who to trust when dealing with each other, we know that God is always trustworthy.  He gives us His Word.  He gave us His Son.  We can be sure that there is no other salvation than belief in and forgiveness and redemption through Jesus Christ.  Being sure of salvation can let us sing as we celebrate the blessings that God provides for us!

Trust in God and His plan for your salvation, then praise and celebrate!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me, for always being trustworthy, and for blessing me.  Help me to show others Your amazing grace and glory.  Through Jesus, You Son, I pray, amen.

Victory!

"The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." -I Corinthians 15:56-57 (NASB)
Sometimes in life we feel beaten down and defeated.  We may feel that we just can't catch a break.  Even if life seems to get us down, we can look for the good that God provides.  We can begin by remembering our victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ!

Death and sin are doom and disaster.  We cannot escape them on our own, no matter how hard we try.  We have a choice, though!  We can allow ourselves to be beaten by sin and death or we can choose the path of forgiveness, redemption, and life through Jesus Christ.  When we choose to believe in Jesus and accept His sacrifice for our sins, then we can be assured of victory...now and forever!

Be victorious by accepting Jesus!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for the forgiveness and redemption offered through Jesus Christ.  Please help me to follow the path of victory that You have prepared for me.  Through Jesus, my Redeemer, I pray, amen.

But I Want To!

"'I have the right to do anything,' you say—but not everything is beneficial. 'I have the right to do anything'—but not everything is constructive." -I Corinthians 10:23 (NIV)
"But I want to!"  Children and some adults often rely on the "want to" as justification for their actions.  Sometimes we think we have the right to do, say, and act in any way we see fit.  We don't always consider the consequences of our actions until it is too late!

Even if we are allowed to do things, we shouldn't do everything just because we want to!  Before we act, we should consider the consequences of our actions.  Will our actions be productive and constructive?  Will they help build others up and show them God's grace and glory?  If we can answer yes to these questions, then we can pray that God will bless our actions and make them beneficial.  We can't do everything we want or feel we have the right to, but we can do what God plans and allow Him to make us productive and constructive!

Everything you have the right to do may not be in God's plan for you!  Listen to Him!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for guiding my life and allowing me to be productive.  Please continue to help me follow Your plan for my life.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Not "Seeing", but Believing and Receiving!

"Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls." -I Peter 1:8-9 (NIV)
There is a group of students at my school that have decided to improve the school climate through random acts of kindness.  The students are attempting to complete these acts anonymously.  They don't want to be seen or heard, but they want the students, teachers, and staff to feel their impact.  Jesus' acts and role in our lives is not random, but it is kind!

We did not live during the time when Jesus physically appeared on earth, so we cannot physically see Him.  However, we can know that He is alive and working in our lives!  We can receive blessings from Jesus.  We can feel His love and we can love Him  We can believe in Him and experience the joy that He provides in our lives.  While individuals engaged in random acts of kindness may want to remain anonymous, Jesus wants to be active in our lives and engaged in a personal relationship with each of us.  We may not "see" Him, but we can know Him and His works in our lives.  All we have to do is believe in Him and receive His grace, mercy, presence, and direction for our lives!

Jesus is active in your life and wants to have a relationship with you, just believe and receive!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for sending Jesus to earth so that I can have a more intimate relationship with You.  Please help me to always believe in You and to receive Your blessings in my life!  Through Jesus, my Savior, I pray, amen.

Feeling Old

"Even to your old age I will be the same, and even to your graying years I will bear you!  I have done it, and I will carry you; and I will bear you and I will deliver you." -Isaiah 46:4 (NASB)
Sometimes we don't always notice the toll the years take on our bodies, but there are times when aches and pains remind us we are getting older!  We may not like feeling older or the extra focus we need to put on staying in shape and healthy, but it becomes a fact of life.  Even though we may need to change our routines to help us age gracefully, we don't have to worry about God changing!

God was, is, and always will be the same!  God will always be with us.  As we age in our earthly journey, God knows what we need for each phase of our lives.  God can keep up with us when we are young and full of energy and He can ease our aches and pains as we age.  God will always be with us as we live on earth and as we join Him in eternal life.  We can be confident that God will not change and that He will be with us always!

No matter how old you are or feel, God is with you!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for always being with me.  Please heal me and fill me with Your wisdom as I get older.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Within You

"Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God." -Colossians 3:16 (NASB)
Inside of us are thoughts, feelings, and emotions.  These ideals within us often drive what we do and how we do it.  We don't even have to speak in order for what is inside of us to be exposed.  Our actions reveal what is inside of us!

As we prepare for life, we need to be sure that we are filled with God's Word and with the examples that Jesus set for us.  If we are filled with God, then He will help us guide one another.  We can guide each other through prayer, song, or demonstrating His love in our own actions.  When we are filled with His Word and working together, we can be thankful for His presence, wisdom, and guidance in all that we do!

Fill yourself with God's Word and be thankful for all that He does in your life!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for giving me Your Word.  Help me to follow Your guidance and to always sing to You in praise!  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Act in Love

"And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing." -I Corinthians 13:3 (NASB)
There are times when people try to quantify or measure "goodness" based on what they give or give up.  Some people will even try to "one up" each other to show how good they are.  If we give just for show or just to feel good, then we are missing the point!

As we move through life, we are called by God to do good and to spread love in His name.  We can go through the motions and donate money, things, or time because we think it is the right thing to do or because we are trying show how good we are to those around us.  If we do these things, but do not have love, then our actions are not fully realized.  When our actions are rooted in sharing God's love, then we can know that they will have an impact far beyond anything we can do on our own - for others and for ourselves!

Keep your actions rooted in God's love and be amazed at the impacts!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and enabling me to share Your love with others.  Help me to always act out of love.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Miracles and Faith!

"So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?" -Galatians 3:5 (NASB)
Sometimes we can't explain what happens around us or to us.  We may look for the logical explanation, governed by the laws of science or governments or even religions.  Yet these laws are not always adequate.  In these cases, we may need to look to our faith!

God gives us His Spirit in the form of the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit can guide us and speak to us.  God also works miracles in our lives because of our faith in Him.  When we call on God for help, we must have faith that God will listen to and hear us.  If we continue to have faith, then we can experience God working in our lives!

Have faith and believe in the miracles of God!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for all that You do in my life, even if I don't understand or can't explain it.  Help me to always have faith in You and Your power to do anything.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Search for Food

"Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal." -John 6:27 (NASB)
There are times when I am searching for a snack and nothing seems to satisfy my appetite.  I know that I shouldn't be eating chips, cookies, or other unhealthy foods, but they can be hard to resist!  Often, these foods don't fill me up.  In our spiritual lives, we need to be sure we search for and eat the right kinds of food!

As we move through the world, we may be tempted to snack on unhealthy spiritual foods.  While these foods may seem tempting, they will not fill us up.  We need to resist the spiritual foods that are bad for our soul or that are empty.  Instead, we need to search for the spiritual foods that build up our souls and lead us toward eternal life through Jesus.  Our spirits can be filled up through the eternal food given to us through God and Jesus!

Search for healthy spiritual food in God, the Father, and Jesus, the Son!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for providing food that is good for my soul.  Help me to avoid the "food" that is bad for my soul and focus on eternal life through Jesus.  In His name I pray, amen.

Ego and Roosters

"Immediately a rooster crowed a second time.  And Peter remembered how Jesus had made the remark to him, 'Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.' And he began to weep." -Mark 14:72 (NASB)
There are times when we focus on ourselves and let our egos drive what we say and do.  I recently heard someone comment that ego can mean "edging God out."  When we think it is all about us or that we are in control alone, we can lose sight of God's role in our lives!

We may still have times in our lives when we focus on ourselves or think we can handle things on our own without anyone else.  We may not always realize when we let our ego take over and drive our thoughts and actions.  During these times, we may also experience the "roosters" that remind us we need God!   When the "roosters" or reminders of our ego appear in our lives, we need to put our ego aside, repent, and seek God's will.  We need to leave our egos behind and follow God's plan for our lives!

When the rooster reminds you about your ego, remember to seek God's will for your life and leave your ego behind!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and reminding me when my ego gets in the way.  Help me to recognize Your reminders to put my ego aside and follow You!  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Not in Vain

"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain." -Psalms 127:1 (NASB)
In our free time, my family and I enjoy volunteering at a local nature center.  We like to help organize activities and create spaces for children and adults to learn more about God's creation.  While we put in our time working on improving the nature center, we need to work with the desires of the director and trustees in order to make the work worthwhile and meaningful for the mission of the center.  We also work to improve our lives and we need to make sure our efforts are in line with God!

Whenever we work to build our lives, whether our families, careers, homes, or churches, we must remember to put God first.  If we try to build these things on our own, our efforts will eventually fail.  Keeping God as our first priority will allow all of our other priorities to fall in order.  God can guide us and strengthen us.  Through prayer, study of His Word, and listening to God, we can be sure that our work is not in vain.  If we follow God's plan, then we can be assured that instead of working in vain, God will make multiply our efforts and allow us to prosper for His glory!

Don't work in vain!  Talk to God and follow His plan to prosper!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for wanting me to prosper.  Help me to know and follow Your plan so that my life can bring glory for You.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

A "Bad" Day?

4/9/2016

"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body." -II Corinthians 4:7-10 (NASB)
There are days that don't go as planned.  I'll admit that I recently had one of those days.  Waking up with a sore back, running behind schedule, and getting hit on the head and breaking a tooth all happened before I started my work day!  Times like these may make us feel like we are being attacked from every direction.  When we add in emotional afflictions, we can feel even more beaten down.  Even though we may feel attacked and beaten, whether physically or emotionally, we have not been abandoned!

The world around us can be a cruel place.  We are not destined to be here forever, but we will spend our time living in the world before reaching eternal glory with God.  While we are on earth, we can expect "bad days" or days when we experience affliction, despair, and persecution at different levels.  While we are experiencing this, we can remember the words of Paul.  We can remember the death of Jesus so that we can also remember the life of Jesus, His teachings, His actions as our role model, and the love, grace, and forgiveness that we can share with others.  When we remember the good of Jesus, it can help erase our "bad" days and turn them into good!

Don't let a bad day get you down.  Remember the life of Jesus and turn your day around!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for Jesus and all that He has taught me and done for me in my life.  Help my life, both bad days and good, be used for Your glory!  Through Jesus, my Redeemer, I pray, amen.

Expectations

"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.  And what does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy  and to walk humbly with your God." -Micah 6:8 (NIV)
As a classroom teacher, I have expectations for myself and for the students in my classes.  The classroom expectations follow the school expectations and students know the expectations, but they don't always follow them. As part of God's Kingdom, there are expectations for us, too!

We are reminded in Micah that God has shown us what is good.  He has given us His Word and He has shown us how to live and to be saved through His Son, Jesus Christ.  As His followers, we are to be humble and kind.  We are to act justly and to show mercy.  We can know the expectations that have been set.  When we follow those expectations and model our words and actions after Jesus, we can show God's love and mercy to others!

Know the expectations and follow God's example!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for showing me Your expectations and sending Jesus to model how to live.  Please continue to guide me and help my words and actions to show Your love and mercy to others.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.

Listen, Don't Fear!

"But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.'" -Matthew 14:27 (NASB)
There are times in our lives when we may be afraid.  There are many different reasons that life may cause us fear.  Often we are afraid because we try to do things on our own without listening.  God gives us courage, but we need to listen and accept His guidance!

During those times in our life when we are afraid, we need to call out to and trust in God!  God will always provide an answer for us.  Sometimes we may not recognize the help that God has placed in our lives, but we should have faith and courage to move forward, knowing that God will never fail us!  We can listen to God as He calls out to us, reminding us to have courage and to not be afraid.

Listen to God and don't be afraid!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for reassuring me that I do not need to be afraid.  Please continue to be present in my life.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

There are many different ways to exercise and build strength, but all exercise plans have one commonality: You have to move!  To build muscle and get stronger, you have to start moving and keep moving.  To help our bodies function at their best, we need to be moving and building strength.  We should also keep our spirits moving and building strength!

When we look to strengthen our spirits, there are different ways we move and build strength.  We can read the Bible.  We can talk to God in prayer.  We can worship with other believers and fellowship with them.  We can find ways to grow and learn, but to build our spiritual strength there is only one source: God!  God is the common theme that is present in all of our spiritual strength building exercises!

Build your strength by including God in all of your spiritual exercises!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for providing me with the exercises and ways to strengthen both my body and my spirit.  Please continue to guide me so that I can grow stronger and serve You better.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
