One of the goals I have when teaching my students is to have them apply what they have learned. One of my student's parents recently told me how his daughter took her learning about motion and forces and explained the importance of seat belts, speed, and crumple zones in cars and car crashes. The ability of my student to apply her learning showed her true understanding.
God has given us many ways to learn about Him. We can learn through studying the Bible, attending services and study groups, fellowship with other believers, and modeling our lives after the examples of Jesus, Paul, and other heroes and heroines in the Bible. When we truly understand the lessons - the things we see, hear, and receive from God - we need to apply them to our lives and practice them. Like my students, our true understanding of God's lessons will be revealed when we apply them to our lives!
