There are things in life that take time. We look for shortcuts and the easy way to get things done, but sometimes what is intended to be the easy way can end up taking more time and effort! We may even end up back at the starting point...back to square one!
When we head off on our own searching for a shortcut, we may find ourselves engaging in behaviors that actually take more effort or lead us astray. We try too much on our own and skip the steps of asking God and relying on Him. Instead of looking for our own shortcuts, we need to talk to God from the beginning. When we talk to God, we can be sure that His way is the right way. We will not have to quarrel, fight, or kill, we just have to ask God and be patient and trusting in Him!
Remember to start at square one by asking God!

Dear God-
Thank You for Your love and direction. Help me to begin by talking to You and asking instead of searching for my own way. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
