Several years ago I decided that I needed to be more active and get into a routine for exercising. Recently, I have been unable to exercise due to injury. As I take a break for time to follow doctor's orders and heal, I feel the effects of not exercising. We need to be careful that we don't "take a break" from our spiritual training!
If we take a break from our spiritual training, the effects will be much worse than a lack of energy or "feeling bad." The value of following God is much greater than anything we could physically measure. Knowing God and following Him have lasting, eternal impacts for our lives. Because the stakes are higher, we need to be even more committed to our spiritual training. We can always talk to God, no matter our physical condition, so we are sure to stay in top spiritual shape!
Physical training is good, but spiritual training is essential for eternity!

Dear God-
Thank You for the physical body that You have given me and the spiritual relationship that You want to have with me. Help me to be physically healthy and spiritually grounded in You. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
