Bring the Good News

"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?  And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?  As it is written: 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'"
-Romans 10:14-15 (NIV)
Have you ever been involved in a conversation where the person you are talking to assumes you know something that you really don't?  Maybe the person assumes you know a certain person or situation.  Maybe the person assumes you know information that you haven't heard before.  These conversations can be confusing, awkward, and even meaningless.  When we talk about God and Jesus, there are some people that do not understand what we are saying.  These people may not have taken the time to listen, experience, understand, and believe in the works of God.  Others may never have heard the truth about God.

We must not forget that there are those that have not heard the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ.  God sends each of us from the point where we are to be witnesses for Him.  We don't have to preach to a congregation - or even to individuals.  We can use our many different gifts to help people hear and understand God's message and plan for our salvation.

When the time is right, God will send you by giving you the nudge you need and the words to say or actions to do to let others know about Him.  Even if we just plant a seed that God can nurture, we are helping to bring the Good News!  We can live our lives with Him and for Him so that others may see His glory through each of us.

Don't let a moment pass by, but have the beautiful feet of a messenger for God bringing the Good News of salvation!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son Jesus Christ.  Help me to not take this gift and Your word for granted, but help me to bring the Good News to others in a way that is meaningful and understandable.  In Your Son's name I pray, amen.
