One hope as a teacher is for my students to practice what I have taught them. Similarly, as I learn about the best practices in teaching, I need to use them in the classroom. If we learn things, but do not act on them, what good is our learning?
Paul was teaching the Philippians and he wanted them to act on his teaching. He wanted the people to take what they learned and use it to further God's Kingdom. We can take the life of Paul and learn from it, too. We can also learn from the many other examples and lessons that God provides in His Word. As we learn, we need to be people of action. We need to put into practice our learning for the glory of God and the growth of His Kingdom!
Take what you have learned and put it into action for God's glory!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for all of the lessons and learning that You provide. Help me to act on my learning for Your Kingdom. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
