It can be hard to do what is right. Sometimes when we stand up for what we believe, we can be ridiculed and "suffer". While it is not always easy, we know that standing up for what is good and righteous is better than the consequences of the alternative!
The author of I Peter reminds us that if we are ready and willing to do good, who can harm us? This is the attitude we should have in our lives. God has told us and shown us what is right, so we know it. God has revealed his grace, glory, and power through His Son, Jesus Christ, so we have hope in our salvation through Jesus. Since we know what is right and have hope, it is up to us to stand up and do what is right. Keeping Christ in our hearts and approaching others with hope, gentleness, respect, and love can further God's Kingdom and all that is right!
Know God and keep Christ in your heart so you can do what is right!

Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and showing me what is right. Help me to do what is right, standing up for You in whatever I face. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
