We all know those certain people that know how to push our buttons and get our blood pressure up. Whether it's something they say or something they do, we immediately feel the need to react. When we are encountered with these people, we need to remember that we need to love everyone!
Living in unity and harmony is pleasant. Unfortunately, we are imperfect beings and we are surrounded by others that are imperfect as well. Living in unity requires effort, in some circumstances more than others! When we are faced with a situation in which we want to react immediately, we need to step back and ask God for strength and the words to say in order to reach out in love. As we live in His love, we will experience how good and pleasant it is to live in unity!
It may take practice, but the next time you want to react remember to act in God's love to build unity!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for Your never ending love and forgiveness. Please help me to act in Your love to build unity here on earth until we reach our perfect destination with You in Heaven. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
