Forgiveness can be something that we expect and something that we struggle giving to others. There are times in our lives when we may find that offering forgiveness is easier said than done. However, Reinhold Niebuhr said that, "Forgiveness is the final form of love." As we consider God's love for us and His expectation that we share His love with others, we need to consider our willingness and ability to forgive!
God forgives us for our sin because He loves each and every one of us. His love is shown through the sacrifice of His Son to provide us a path to forgiveness and redemption. We can fully enter into His family as believers because of God's love and forgiveness. Knowing God's love and forgiveness for us, we should act as He has shown us. We should show forgiveness as an act of love. As we love and forgive, we can allow others to see God's work in our lives!
