In a recent conversation, the person I was talking to remarked, "I want to be remembered." The person was concerned with one day being forgotten. The individual wanted their legacy to live on in the memories and stories shared with others. There was a certain level of fear in "going away" and "being forgotten."
We all have limited time here on earth. As our time here comes to an end, we will face the reality of our lives and the future that we face. We may fear being gone and forgotten. However, when we take hold of God's hand, we can be reassured that we will not be forgotten. Instead of disappearing, we can continue to live with God for eternity!
You will not be forgotten if you hold onto God's hand!

Dear God-
Thank You for reaching out to take my hand. Help me to hold on to Your hand and to not be forgotten. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
