"By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made." -Genesis 2:2-3 (NASB)
We can get caught up in all that we have to do each day. We can rush. We may get to bed late and rise early to greet the next day. As we rush to accomplish all that we think we need to do, was also need to remember to get our rest!
God created the entire world. God also took time show us that we need to rest. Our bodies need time to recover. Our minds need time to relax. Most importantly, we need to take time to spiritually reconnect with God. We should take time each day and each week to relax, rest, and recover. We should also be sure we are spending enough time to spiritually connect with God and recharge our souls!
Be sure to take time to get your rest and to connect with God!

Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for showing and reminding me that I need to rest. Help me to always take time to communicate with You and to build my spirit through You. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
