Summer often brings time for vacation. Whether we are lounging around the house or traveling, we welcome the time to forget about getting ready for work. As we take a break from work, we need to remember that we always need to prepare ourselves spiritually, so we are ready to work for God!
God gives us guidance and helps us to prepare for doing good works in His name. We can prepare through reading His Word. He has given us the Bible, His Holy Scripture, that is filled with lessons and examples for each of us. He gives us the Holy Spirit as a guide. We can also fellowship with other believers and hold each other accountable to the teachings of God. No matter whether we are working, on vacation, or retired, we need to be prepared and equipped for the work to which God calls us!
Get ready to work for God by reading and learning from His Word!

Thank You for Your guidance in my life. Help me to be equipped and prepared to follow Your direction as I work of You. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
