I recently attended a meeting at my daughter's school where the principal was asking for input from parents. He has energy, enthusiasm, and ideas, but he wanted to know what parents want and what their students need from the school He realized that he could make plans for successful education, but without input from his faculty, parents, and students, his plans wouldn't reach their full potential!
Just as the principal sought advice from members of the school community, we need to seek advice in our lives. We may also be called to give advice to others. God can use our experiences to put us in contact with others that can be advisers and mentors in our daily lives and in our spiritual journeys. God can also use our experiences to provide guidance for others. Throughout our lives, we should follow God and be prepared to follow His direction for advice - whether giving or receiving!
Follow God's direction and be prepared to receive, and possibly give, advice!

Dear God-
Thank You for Your guidance in my life. Please prepare me to both receive and give advice as you lead me. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
