Last summer my daughter got five caterpillars that she successfully raised into butterflies. We released them in the yard and saw them only a couple of times throughout the remainder of the summer. One day last week, while playing inside on a cold, snowy day, she stopped to ask about the butterflies. I replied that I didn't know where they were or what they were doing. She reassured me that they were still alive, even if they were in Heaven.
Sometimes we need to be reminded that Jesus is still alive. Like the caterpillars that butterflies remind us, Jesus went through a transformation from death on the cross to resurrected Savior. He conquered death and still lives! It is because He lives that He is able to bring us closer to God, interceding on our behalf with the Heavenly Father. If Jesus was not alive, He'd be no different than our other ancestors that have gone before us, but He is ALIVE! When we feel like we are drifting away from God, we need to remember Jesus is alive and willing to help save us and bring us closer to God, the Father!
Remember that Jesus is alive and ready to save you and bring you closer to God!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for Jesus being alive and ready to intercede with You on my behalf. Help me to draw closer to You through Your Son, Jesus Christ. In His name I pray, amen.
