Hold His Hand!

"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." -Isaiah 41:13 (NIV)

We learn at a young age that there are places or times that are unsafe, places when we need to use extra caution.  Sometimes we need to be aware of and prepare for physical danger, such as looking both ways and holding someone's hand as we cross the street.  There are other situations that present mental or emotional challenges that also require support and guidance.

As we progress throughout the journey of our lives, we may reach a point where we think we can handle things on our own.  We want to be "grown up."  Even when we reach an age or level when we feel independent, God is there by our side, ready to hold our hand and help us through life's ups and downs.  God knows what the world holds in store.  God allows us to be free and to make our own choices, but He also knows that we need Him in our lives.  God's hand is outstretched and ready for us, it is up to each of us to reach out and take hold!

Don't face life challenges on your own.  Reach out and hold God's hand!

Dear God-
Thank You for always being present in my life.  Help me to remember that You are there and ready to take my hand and lead me through life.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
