"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." -Romans 12:12 (NIV)
Things don't always go our way. When things don't work out as we had planned, we have different options. We can get angry. We can become withdrawn. We can become committed to finding a different way to do things. Whenever we consider our next steps, we should remember the advice from Romans.
We are reminded that we should have hope. God is always with us and He has redeemed us through the death and resurrection of His Son. We should have patience. God has a plan for our lives and He is working in His time to bring the changes and opportunities that we need in our lives. We should also be faithful in communicating with God. We can pray to God and listen to His response. Through whatever we face, we can trust in God, having hope and patience as we faithfully communicate with God!

Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and having a plan for my life. Help me to listen to You and be faithful to Your will. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
