One of my students recently asked if I had any "ugly" students. Sadly, this demonstrates a focus on outward appearance that is often promoted throughout media and society. Throughout history, whether buying certain products or voting for politicians, people can be influenced by outward appearances, but there is more to people than meets the eye!
No matter what the world tells us, we shouldn't judge each other by the outward appearances that we see. There is more to each person's story that what we can see on the outside. We can show love and allow people to show us their stories and their hearts. Not all hearts will be filled with God, but we can talk to God and trust that He will lead us toward those that are good from the inside out!
Don't get caught up in appearances, but allow God to make you good from the inside out!

Dear God-
Thank You for knowing me from the inside out. Please fill my heart and allow others to see Your love and redemptive power in me. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
