Interpretations

"Before the mountains were born or You gave birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God." -Psalms 90:2 (NASB)
Our emotions and reactions can depend on our interpretations of a situation or circumstance.  Our interpretation can influence whether we become motivated or depressed.  Responding to God's power also depends on our interpretation of or our relationship with God!

When we read the Psalmist's words of an everlasting God that existed before the mountains and the earth were formed, we can either be upset by God's power or we can be comforted in His everlasting nature.  If we don't have a relationship with God, we may be intimidated or scared when we think of God's infinite power.  However, if we know God and have a relationship with Him, we should be comforted knowing God is powerful, loving, and everlasting.  We know that God wants what is best for us and that He will always be there for us.  Once we have a relationship with God, we need to be sure that others can see God for what He truly is: a loving God ready to forgive and redeem us with His power, grace, and mercy!

Don't be intimidated by God's power.  He is a loving God!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me.  Comfort me with Your power and love and help me to show Your love to others.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
