Paul reminds us in his letter to the Colossians (3:15) that we should let peace from Jesus Christ rule in our hearts. As a member of Christ's body, we should strive to show love and be peaceful. We can correct each other's behavior and remind each other of God's expectations. When those reminders cause frustration and anger, we need to turn it over to God and allow His peace to fill our hearts. Once God fills our hearts with peace, we can give thanks to Him!
Don't let anger take root in your heart. Turn to God and let peace rule!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for Your forgiveness and for the fellowship with others that you provide for me. Help me to remember that when I get angry, I need to turn it over to You so it doesn't take over my heart and Your peace can rule. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
