Mentor

"Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God - children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God." -John 1:12-13 (NIV)

Having a special child in your life can be a rewarding experience.  However, there are some children that are searching for a mentor or role model.  As can be seen in many schools with mentoring programs, one caring adult can make a big difference in a child's life!

As adults, we still need mentors.  We might find a professional mentor at work or a spiritual mentor at church. In all areas of our lives, there is one mentor that stands above the rest and can lead us to eternal life: Jesus Christ.  Once we accept Jesus as our Savior, we become God's children.  When we are struggling with burdens or celebrating joys, we can turn to Jesus and God.  By listening and following these mentors, our lives can definitely be changed for the better!

Accept Jesus and begin the greatest mentor relationship ever!

Dear God-
Thank You for sending Jesus so that I can be one of Your children.  Please help me to follow the mentoring and advice that Your Son has provided so that I can help those around me.  Through Jesus, my Savior mentor, I pray, amen.
