More than Predictions and Doubt

"No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made Him known." -John 1:18 (NIV)

"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." -Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)
It is winter and the snow has been piling up outside.  More snow is expected and forecasters try their best to predict the amounts of accumulation.  When predictions vary and the phone call cancelling school comes before the snow begins, there can be doubt about the decision made to cancel school.  Just as it is easy to doubt things we don't know or haven't seen, it is also easy to know and believe in something we have seen.

John (1:18) reminds us that no one has ever seen God, but even though we have never seen God, we can believe in Him and know He exists.  Jesus was sent to earth and witnessed by many people.  Jesus explained things about God, so that we can understand and be closer to Him.  Jesus was seen and heard.  Jesus' teachings, life, death, and resurrection give us reason for faith and hope for eternal life.  We don't have to worry about predictions and forecasts, Jesus is real and so is our Salvation!  We can know God exists and believe all that the Bible tells us!

Know and believe in all that Jesus has shown and taught you!

Prayer:
Dear God-

Thank You for sending Jesus to reveal more about You to me.  Help me to continue to learn and know more about You and to share my knowledge of You with others.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.
