It's been a while since there has been a nice, soaking rain in my area. Other areas of the country are experiencing droughts. While some of my plants droop and start to wither, other areas suffer even greater as the ground is dry and cracking. Like the earth and the plants in need of rain, our souls also need God!
When we move away from God our lives can dry out. We can begin to droop without His support and nourishment. We can become temperamental and feel like we are cracking. While the lack of God can impact us negatively like a lack of rain, we are never far from God and can never have too much of God! When our spirits thirst, we can call to God and He will hear us. We can soak in all of God's love as it floods over us, rejuvenating us, and preparing us for life and eternity!
If your spirit needs some rain, call on God and soak in His love, power, and support!

Dear God-
Thank You for always being near. Please let Your love, power, and support rain on my soul. Help me to soak in all of Your glory so I can live for You. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
