The new year is often viewed as a fresh start, a clean slate. There may be many things that we wish to change in the upcoming year. However, there are also things that we want to hold on to and keep just the way they are. Fortunately, we don't have to wonder who God will be in the new year!
God is always the same. He has always been the same and will always be the same. We don't have to wonder or guess what God will be like in the new year. We can trust and be reassured that God will always be powerful and loving. We can know that God is great and He is the only God in which we should trust. Our God is above all other gods!
Take heart that God will not change with the new year!

Dear God-
I praise You and thank You for being a constant and loving God. Please guide me in Your wisdom so this year can be one of faithful service to You and rejoicing in all the blessings that You provide. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
