Not Too Far...In Your Heart!

"Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded." -James 4:8 (NIV)
When I was young the television didn't have a remote.  Changing the channel required getting up and walking across the room to change the volume or the channel.  Sometimes it seemed like too much work to get up and change the channel.  Things have changed and now can be controlled by the remote, a computer, a phone, or even voice commands.  Even with all the modern conveniences, it sometimes can still seem that what we want is too far away!

Whenever we begin to feel that we are too far away from our goals in life, we need to call on God.  We can become close to God by accepting the forgiveness and redemption that He offers to us.  We can be saved and can communicate freely with God through prayer.  We can trust in His promises to guide and protect us.  We can be assured of everlasting life in HIm.  We cannot be separated from Him as long as we are seeking Him and allowing Him to cleanse us from sin.  With all of the conveniences provided by technology, nothing is closer to us than God in our hearts!

God is not too far away.  He is waiting to be invited into your heart!

Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for living in my heart.  Please continue to guide me and show me how to live in Your love.  Through Jesus I pray, amen.
