A friend recently shared an online picture that showed a long brick wall. On the ground, under the center of the wall was a single book. The book under the bricks caused the entire wall to "heave" in the center. The picture was meant to illustrate the power of a single book.
There are many books or stories that we may have read. In our lives, we may have experienced the power of some of these books in our lives, but there is one book that truly has life changing power! The Bible holds more power than any other book. It is the Word of God! When we read the Bible, it can help us to know God and to know His Son, the Word made flesh. The Bible can do more than heave a brick wall, it can help us see how to lift the weight of our sin and to be made whole in God! We just need to take time to read and reflect on the Bible!

Thank You for giving us Your Word, both written in the Bible and in the flesh in Your Son. Help me to learn from Your Word and to practice it in my life. Through Your Son, Jesus, I pray, amen.
