To each older, more mature generation, the younger generation seems to be lost, whether lost in youthful arrogance, immaturity, blissful ignorance, or ill-conceived ways. Sometimes the older generations resign themselves to an indifference about the younger generations. Sometimes the older generations long for the nostalgic "good old days." At the same time the younger generation distances itself from the past. When looking at the church, we shouldn't see generations divided by age, but rather a united generation for Christ!
One commonality that must envelope all members of the Church family is the rock-solid foundation of God, His Son, and the Holy Word of God. Once this foundation is established and sincerely embraced, then all parts of the body of Christ can work together to serve Him - all generations can become one! Younger or newer believers in the family can inspire (or re-ignite) a passion and zeal for loving and serving God. Older members can impart wisdom from experiences and learning opportunities. The learning within the church family will be directed by God and falling like the rain or dew on delicate, unique, and thirsty flowers for Christ.
However, we are well-served to heed the warning that we are not to be a lost or crooked generation. We must always rely on the foundation of God and follow His straight and narrow path. We must honor God as our Creator and wisely repay Him with prayer, praise, and offerings of our gifts.
Together as a church of believers, we must be one united generation built on an uncompromising and unshakeable faith in God, not a lost, infighting, and crooked generation. Once we are united and praising God together our witness to all generations everywhere will be multiplied!

Dear God-
Thank You for loving all ages and generations. Please help me to unite different ages and generations into one generation for Christ so that we may serve You better. For the glory of Your kingdom I pray in Jesus' name, amen.
