Preparing for house guests can be a lot of work. We may give the house an extra thorough cleaning or even prepare the guest room. Sometimes we are exhausted before our guests arrive!
When we express our love of Jesus and keep His word, we are inviting Him to be a permanent guest in our heart. Just like preparing for house guests, we should try to clean our hearts. The good news about God and Jesus as our guests is that they know we cannot make our hearts clean on our own. They come prepared to help us do the cleaning! We just have to begin by loving Them, trying to keep Their word, and accepting forgiveness through Jesus.
Prepare for the greatest guests: Jesus and His Father!

Dear God-
Thank You for being willing to forgive my sins and to help clean my heart. Guide me as I try to live a better life for You. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
