My daughter's school has started a new program where students can be sent to the principal's office for doing good things. Instead of associating the principal and his office only with troublemakers, the principal encourages staff at the school to write a "positive office referral." It brings joy to see my daughter being recognized for kindness and hard work.
As we work in God's Kingdom, He knows when we are working to be positive, to spread His love, and to follow His will. He doesn't want to see us only when we are "bad" and looking for forgiveness, God also wants to share in our joy and accomplishments. We need to remember to praise God and include Him in our celebrations. It is because of God that we can experience love and joy. He wants to see us and hear from us when we are joyous and praising His name!
Don't just go to God with problems and requests, go to Him with joy, praise, and thanksgiving, too!

Dear God-
Thank You for all that You do in my life. May all praise and glory be given to Your holy name! In Jesus I pray, amen.
