Power Prayer

"I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.  And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." -Ephesians 3:16-19 (NIV)
A community of believers is important to help sustain us in our faith and in our daily lives.  The power of praying for each other yields amazing results.  When we see someone that is experiencing difficulty, we should support that person through kind words, supportive actions, and powerful prayer.

We don't need all of the details of a situation to offer prayers and support.  God knows what each situation requires.  Even if we don't know the exact words to say, Ephesians gives us an outline of a prayer that we can use to uplift and support each other.  We can pray that our brothers and sisters experience God's endless, strength, power, love, and knowledge.  As we pray, we can strengthen our fellow believers.  We also reap the benefits of strengthening our faith, our relationship with God, and our relationships with each other.  

Do you know someone that needs a lift?  Pray for them.  If you are struggling to find the words to say, let Ephesians 3:16-19 guide you.


Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for Your wisdom, guidance, and support.  I pray that you will strengthen those that are struggling, whether the struggles are visible or hidden.  Give each of Your believers an undying faith in You as well as strength, power, love, and knowledge.  Allow me to serve You by being there for others.  In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
