Sometimes we take for granted the environment - God's creation - that we see around us. While recently attending an environmental education conference and listening to different presenters talk about environmental research and educating all generations about the significance of our actions, I was reminded that we are called to care for God's creation. God wants us to be stewards of what He has created!
In the beginning there was nothing and out of nothing came our home, the Earth, and all that is in it. God is the Creator. He also has given us the job of caring for His creation. We are to be responsible for all of the creatures that exist with us on Earth. We are not to take advantage of them or destroy the environment for our own gain. Instead, we are to be caregivers and managers that follow God's example in our interactions with all that He has created. When we choose to follow God and accept the responsibility He has given us, we need to protect, preserve, and conserve His creation!
Accept the responsibility that God has given you and protect and conserve His creation!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for all that You have created, including me. Help me to know Your will and to respect and care for Your creation. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
