I was recently talking to a colleague about leadership opportunities in our workplace. From our perspective, leadership opportunities are not always open to a number of people that could be could leaders. Eventually the conversation ended with the conclusion that we may need to look for or create opportunities that are different than "traditional" leadership roles.
When we think about being leaders or waging "war" for God, we also need to think differently. The traditional or earthly definitions of leading or fighting may not fit with what we are called to do as followers of Christ. We can wage war on the ways of the world through spreading God's Word and His love. We can become leaders in ways that are not founded on physical might, but on the power that we receive through the Holy Spirit. When we take time to consider our goals, we can become "warriors" of love and peace leading others to God's Kingdom!
"Fight" and "lead" as God has called you in His love and power!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for the love that You have shown me. Help me to be a leader that allows others to see Your love, power, grace, and mercy. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
