-I John 1:1-3 (NASB)
The author of I John (1:1-3) is retelling what he saw, heard, and felt. He is telling his readers of the events so that they will not be forgotten. We did not live during the time when Jesus came to earth as a human and ministered to those around Him, but that doesn't mean we have been excluded from the messages and promises of Jesus' ministry and sacrifice! The retelling of the events are kept in the Bible so that we, too, can believe, can be saved, and can live in fellowship with God and Jesus. We can be reassured by the eyewitnesses in the Bible that our God and the life of His Son are real and life changing!
Listen to the witnesses and join in fellowship with God and Jesus!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for Your Word and all that it tells me. Help me to learn from those that came before me so that I can continue to draw closer to You in fellowship. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
