Rumors...we have all probably heard one at some point and may have even unknowingly spread one. Some rumors don't really matter and are innocuous. However, some rumors can be hurtful. While we need to be vigilant about spreading rumors, we can also be protected!
There are always people who will talk. We may, sometimes, get caught up in a misunderstanding or rumor. We don't have to worry about rumors, though. Instead of dwelling on what others might be saying, we can ask God to protect us. We can also ask God to give us wisdom and protection so we don't spread rumors. As the Psalmist prays, we can say, "Save me, Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues." We can ask God to protect us from rumors!
Ask God for protection from rumors and strive to follow Him and spread His love!

Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for being willing to protect me. Please keep me from lying lips and deceitful tongues - both mine and others. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
