When giving directions to a class of students, there is always the need to repeat what is expected. Whether with students or other children (and sometimes adults) in our lives, we may be faced with similar situations. We may not enjoy giving the same directions multiple times, but we can benefit from hearing the "same old" message over and over again!
God is love and He calls us in love. Prophets spoke of love. Jesus showed us God's love and demonstrated how we should love ourselves and each other. We are reminded throughout God's Word about His love and the power of His love, yet there are times that we forget God's directions. As we think about our actions and reactions, we need to remember God's directions. God has repeated His direction to love one another, now we need to follow it!
God has given us the direction many times: Love one another. Follow it!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for showing me Your love in many ways. Help me to follow Your direction and show love to those around me. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
