Sharp objects can be useful, but they can also be dangerous. A sharp knife can cut through tough materials easily, but it can also cut us! A sharp needle can prick us, but it can be useful when sewing. We need to have sharp tools and we need to have "sharp" minds. We also need to know how to use the tools we have at our disposal!
We can sharpen each other, but we need to be sure that we are being sharpened in the right way and that we are sharpening others in the right way. To know the right way, we need to be listening to and learning from God. We need to read His Word, talk to Him through prayer, and follow His will in our lives. We need to allow ourselves to be sharpened and then we need to think about our words and actions so we are using them as God intended to spread His love, the Good News, and build His Kingdom. We need to be sharp and make each other sharp!
Be sharpened by others and sharpen others so you can better serve God!

Dear God-
Thank You for Your love and guidance. Help me to be sharpened by others and to help sharpen others for Your will. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
