"But Moses said to the people, 'Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever. The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent.'" -Exodus 14:13-14 (NASB)
There are probably times in each of our lives when we want to get the last word. We feel that our point of view needs to be heard to either defend or explain ourselves. While we should stand up for our beliefs, we don't always need to get the last word. Being silent doesn't mean we have given up!
There are times when our silence can allow God to take over fighting for us. We should not fear, but we should have faith in what God can accomplish on our behalf. Moses tried to help the Israelite people understand that even though they seemed to reach a dead end at the Red Sea, God was ready to help. When we seem to reach those "dead ends" in our life, God can help make a way through them, we just need to listen to and follow His directions. Once we call on Him for help, we don't need to get the last word. In our silence, God can fight for us and we can hear His plan guiding us through to His end!
Call on God, listen to His plan, and allow Him to fight for you, even if you are silent!

Dear God-
