One skill that is emphasized in new curricula is that of speaking and listening. Students often enjoy talking, but learning requires listening, too. It is important to learn skills for hearing and understanding, for sharing understanding, and for applying what has been learned. These skills may be important for learning in school, but they are also important for our spiritual growth!
In order for us to grow in our faith, we must hear the messages that God has for us. We can learn by reading and listening to the lessons in His Word. We can appreciate the examples that He provides. We can be redeemed by accepting the gift of Christ's death and resurrection. As we hear the message and grow in our faith, we must also be willing to speak and share His message with others that are ready to listen!
Listen to God's message, then speak and share it with others!

Thank You for sharing Your message and allowing me to hear it. Help me to grow in faith and to share Your message with others. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
