-John 4:23-24 (NIV)
Worship may bring to mind images of church services, singing praise songs, attending church camp adventures and retreats, reading the Bible, spending time in prayer, gathering with a group of people, walking alone, or some other personal experience. We are called to a life of praise and worship of God. God created each of us as individuals. How and where we worship can vary. We can express our reverent honor in different, individual ways. Yet there should be two constants in all of our worship. No matter where or how we worship, we must worship God in the Spirit and in truth. God has given us the Holy Spirit to guide and mentor us in our faith. With the help of the Holy Spirit we can know how to worship and know the truth.
While the Holy Spirit has been given to us to help us, we can also talk to God directly. Through prayers and study, we can learn to not only worship in the Spirit and in truth, but also to live each day in the Spirit and in truth. Take time to listen to the Holy Spirit and to express your adoration and reverence for the one true God in the Spirit and in truth!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for providing me with the Holy Spirit to teach and guide me through life. Please help me to know Your truth and to worship You in Spirit and truth. In Jesus' name, Amen.
