In science and technology and engineering classes, my students are learning how to build bridges that are strong and able to stand up to outside forces. Students learn about beams, trusses, suspension, and other supports. Students learn that when creating a truss, triangles are the strongest shape. To create a strong bridge or tower, triangles offer strength, but what do we do when we need strength and protection in our lives?
The ultimate source of strength and power is God. He can guide us, protect us, and keep us safe through anything we face. God is our tower of strength, our place of refuge. We may build structures with supports of triangles to make them strong, but God is the true strong tower and source of protection from evil. Calling on the name of the Lord will protect us and keep us safe - He even gives us the triangle of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost for strength and protection! .
When the events of life are threatening you, protect yourself in the tower of the Lord!

Dear God-
Thank You for protecting me and keeping me safe from evil. Help me to remember to always call on to help me through everything I face. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
