"This is what the Lord says: 'Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.' But you said, 'We will not walk in it.'" -Jeremiah 6:16 (NASB)
There are times when our life's journey ends up at a crossroads. Just like when driving, we need to stop at the crossroads, look both ways, and proceed with caution. We may rely on directions, a map, or GPS to get us to our destination. In our life's decisions we have tools to help us make the right choice!
Jeremiah (6:16) gives us both guidance and warning when we are making decisions. We are called to find the good way and walk in it. We can find the good way by talking to God and learning from those that came before us. Jeremiah also warns against making our own way and rejecting the good way. Once we know the way to go, we should walk in it and find rest for our souls!
Talk to God to find His way, then walk in it with a rested soul!

Dear God-
Thank You for guiding me though my life's journey. When I reach a crossroads in my life, help me to know when to stop and help me to hear Your guiding voice. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
