The Christmas season should bring times of peace, joy, and celebration, but the constant advertisements often push us towards a different mindset during this season. We see and hear many ads that are designed to make us want more and to feel the need to spend more on ourselves and on gifts for others. Family and friends may even ask what we "want" as gifts. As we navigate this Christmas season, we may need to stop and refocus on what really matters!
We are called by Jesus to be His one body on earth. In His call, He promises to be with us and to guide us. We need to acknowledge Jesus' role in our lives and we need to invite Him into our hearts. When we focus our lives on Jesus, we can turn from wanting more to embracing the peace that He places within our hearts. With hearts full of the love and peace of God, we can truly appreciate the joy of the Christmas season. We can know that our Savior was born, that we can have peace through Him, and we can share the good news with others!
Move from wanting to peace through embracing Jesus and allowing Him to fill your heart!

Dear God-
Thank You for loving me enough to send Your Son. Help me to always be focused on You and to embrace the peace and love with which You fill my heart. Through Jesus, Your Son and my Savior, I pray, amen.
