Many of us have probably heard the saying, "You can't believe everything you hear!" This is true in life in general, but, unfortunately, it is also true about human interpretations of God's Word. So what are we to do?
Whenever we are faced with claims, whether they are said to be from the Bible or just from our daily lives, we need to be able to "test" the claims to see if they are true. The best way to test the claims we hear is to ask for advice. By turning to God, we can get the answers we need. We need to approach God in prayer, asking Him to give us an open heart to hear His response. We then need to take the time to listen to His response without the worldly influences demanding our attention. When we turn to God, He will be faithful in helping us determine which claims are true and which are false!

Dear God-
Thank You for loving me and for Your willingness to guide me through the tricks of this world. Help me to see and to know Your Truth. Help me to lovingly live Your Truth each and every day. Through Jesus I pray, amen.
