Have you ever had one of those moments when you recognize someone, but can't quite figure out why? After teaching 8th grade for a number of years, there are times when I see former students years after having taught them. I may know a familiar face, but I may not be able to remember a name on the spot! When it comes to Jesus, though, there shouldn't be any hesitation!
Simon Peter knew Jesus and, even though Peter would later deny knowing Jesus, Peter was well aware of Jesus' true identity. We, too, should recognize Jesus through His love and advocacy on our behalf. We can see His works in our lives and we shouldn't hesitate to proclaim that He is the Christ, the Son of God!
Recognize Jesus and proclaim His glory!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for sending Your Son to live on earth and die for my sins. Help me to always recognize Him and Your works in my life. Allow me to proclaim His sacrifice and glory to all those around me. Through Him I pray, amen.
