Rachel Carson spoke of a "sense of wonder" that is often possessed by children, but lost by adults. Today, the pastor at church spoke of the wonder held by the wisemen that journeyed to find the new King of the Jews. As we approach the Christmas season, we are preparing for the love of God that entered the world through His Son. Do we approach it with a "sense of wonder"?
We are reminded about love in 1 Corinthians. Love helps us to maintain a sense of wonder. With love, we are encouraged to explore possibilities because of God's support. We can embark on journeys that take us out of our comfort zones. God's love can provide us with hope and endurance to continue, even when things seem bleak. Throughout Advent, the Christmas season, and the New Year, we can journey to be closer to God. We can trust in Him and follow a sense of wonder that will allow us to more fully experience all that His love has to offer in each of our lives!
Approach God with a sense of wonder and allow Him to fully embrace you with His love!
Prayer:
Dear God-
Thank You for Your love. Help me to keep a sense of wonder that allows me to more fully experience Your love and presence in my life. In Jesus I pray, amen.
